Templemore Park

Templemore Park is situated in Templemore,
Co. Tipperary in the midlands of Ireland.

So The Trail begins...

You won't need a map, just follow the path passing beside the pitch and putt course. Head over the heritage stone bridge. Keep straight ahead until you come to a
T junction keeping to the right in a circle.
Watch out for the fairies as you go on this adventure and enjoy.

Planning your day out

There are plenty of picnic tables in the park, so it's a great place for a Teddy Bears picnic followed by the trail.

A children's playground is situated in the park and there is plenty of FREE parking. The park is open seven days a week.

The Fairy Trail is FREE entertainment the whole family will enjoy.

The Fairy Trail began in June 2013 with kind permission from Tipperary County Council.

HISTORY

The park is a wonderful place to spend time unwinding, walking and observing the beautiful wild life all around.

The extensive park woodland was planted by the Carden family over two centuries ago. Some of the trees are as much as 250 years old. It is lined with avenues of mature Oak, Beech and Chestnut trees.
It is a great opportunity to take the nature trail and see if you can identify the many species of trees on the trail.

The heritage stone bridge was built c1820 and is woven into the history of Templemore. The old Church and graveyard date back to the 18th century. There is a man-made lake of approx 7.5 acres stocked for fishing . There is an abundance of wild life and beautiful Flora and Fauna.

Follow the Fairy Trail and challenge yourself to find all the little fairy doors hidden in the trees.

Take a picnic and enjoy the great outdoors. If you are a photographer you can capture magical moments through the lens.
